Oh, No.. My Hair Goes Gray

Scientists find out that hair turns gray as a result of a chemical chain reaction that causes hair to bleach itself from the inside out. In addition, the loss of melanocytes not only leads to a graying of the hair, but also causes diminishes hues that give the hair shaft a shiny, healthier and more youthful looking appearance.

The shortfall of enzyme in the hair also causes the hair goes gray. The catalase shortfall means that the hydrogen peroxide that naturally occurs in hair can’t be broken down. Hydrogen peroxide builds up in the hair, and because other enzymes that would repair hydrogen peroxide’s damage are also in short supply, at this time your hair goes gray.

What actually happens during the graying process? The melanocyte, which manufacture and store the pigment that combines with hair-making cells called keratinocytes, not only become depleted, they also make errors as they age, they position themselves in the wrong part of the hair follicle, thus leading to a loss of pigmentation.

If your hair turns gray, you may want to do hair care. This is rapidly becoming a part of the growing anti-aging phenomenon as formulators race to include SPFs and a host of restorative ingredients in shampoos, conditioner and styling products.
