1. Protect yourself from pollution

It is always a good idea to avoid smoke-filled rooms, high traffic areas, breathing in highway fumes and exercising near busy thoroughfares. When you are taking exercise, do it outside when the smog rating is low. Meanwhile do it indoors in air conditioning when air quality is good. Plants lots of shrubbery in your yard.

2. Cut fat

Avoid fried foods, burgers and other fatty meats like pork, bacon, ham, salami, ribs and sausage. If you are consuming dairy products such as cheese, cottage cheese, milk and cream, choose the low fat versions. Nuts and sandwich meats, mayonnaise, margarine, butter and sauces should be eaten in limited amounts.

3. Quit smoking

Smoking was harmful to your health. Quit smoking now!
