Strategies to help prevent weight gain

Some people gain weight when they are stop smoking. Here are some useful strategies to help prevent weight gain:

  1. You can use oral substitutes that are low calorie or sugar-free, such as chewing gum. Keep your hands busy and lessen the chance of over indulgence.
  2. Straws, tooth picks or cinnamon sticks are good to keep handy as non-edible substitutes.
  3. You could carry a wattle bottle everywhere you go. This can help to give you something to play and just drink it whenever you feel you want to.
  4. It is important to have a balance diet. You could focus on fruits and veggies. Good proteins and whole grains also healthy for you.
  5. Last but not least, get active! Try to find something you can do and work it as a routine. You may think of walking or stretching.

Vitamin D : Why it is important?

 

A research shows low levels of vitamin D relates to diabetes, cancer, high blood pressure, and being obese. A health survey that compares the risk of death between those with the lowest blood levels of vitamin D to those with higher levels found a 26% increased risk of death any cause for the quartile of participants with the lowest vitamin D levels compared to those with high levels.
